I guess I’ll never get around to buying that 14″ tenon saw, it’s discontinued! Along with Larry Williams’ Making Traditional Side Escapement Planes DVD. Ugh, shouldn’t have waited.
It is frustrating sometimes how often LN mixes up their product line, especially when you’ve been saving to buy something.

I know this isn’t a Lie Nielsen, these are beautifully hand crafted saws. I had been eying one for a long time but decide on another frame saw.at #127618
I didn’t think Adria was making saws anymore. I wanted to steer away from the small, custom saw makers due to their prices. Ebay has been disappointing in the vintage.
There’s always the LN 16″ too, but it seems too large to me. I already have a panel saw that’s just a bit bigger than that 16″ tenon saw.

I couldn’t tell you for sure if they still sell saws. And I hear you on the cost of some of these small tool makers. Adria tools seemed to be the most reasonably priced saws compared to others.
Good luck on your quest for a twin saw!at #127622
I have been happy with my Gramercy saws from tools for working wood, still affordable versus custom saw places. Buy two of what you like when you see them is what I have learned 🙂

I forget about Gramercy from time to time. I bought a pair of holdfasts from them. I’ve often looked at getting one of their frame saw kits, but never did.
Derek, have you ever considered making your own tenon saw?at #127631
I’ve got the Gramercy hold fasts, I ‘ve built the frame saw from the kit. Good quality stuff.
I know they are not as pretty, but I’ve been using the Veritas saws for about a year and a half. They work really well.

Thanks, everyone. I have Veritas dovetail saw, and plenty of other saws. This was a “wishlist” item that I’ve been saving for, now gone, to fill a gap. I use my 20″ panel saw for cuts I should be using a shorter tenon saw for. No hurry or great need for it.
On the good news side, LN says the Larry Miller DVD is just out of stock and they are actually going to institute a streaming video service so their videos will never go out of production run.

I guess patience is a virtue, because I snagged this very saw for a very good discount.
I tried buying decent tenon saws on Ebay, but they just get bid up beyond belief. After losing a few decent Groves, Distons and Ibbotsons, I found this LN on sale. Lucky.
It’s brand new, even came in the original box with a 2015 LN flyer in it. Guy bought two saws and decided he only wanted one. That may be a first in tool history.
It’s now hanging in my garage next to my other saws. Ahh.

Feels good, don’t it, getting something that nice at a good price? I keep telling myself – patience!! I just gotta listen to myself more often.
